Friedrich,

Been meaning to ask this for a while, but is there a way to set default
settings for all new projects? For example, I'd like to have the company
name value to a given company (if different, I change it after creating the
project). Install types, max or normal compression, ftp site values, etc.

Yes! Create a "template" with your default settings and store it in the
Templates folder. Then use "New" | "Empty Template Project" to create a
project that makes use of these specific default settings.
