View Full Version : Compile fails - silent error?

Hi Friedrich,

When I compile a SB script and the install happens to be open (in use) I get
an error "An error occurred... Check to make sure the .exe is not currently
in use by another process/ Abort/Retry" which is fine. However when I run
this from the Build Automator the SB compiler stops. Is there any way for
me in the Build Automator to tell SB NOT show the message and just return an
error message that the compile of the install script failed? In some cases
I would like to just let the script continue, while in other I absolutely
want it to stop.

Maybe something to think about for SB 7?

Best regards,

Hmm, good point. I'll check this.

SB6 is still in active development so I think we can change this in SB6 and
SB7.

Added to SB6 and SB7.

A new SB6 maintenance build is scheduled to be released tomorrow (Friday).

Cool!:) Is this an optional command line parameter or how can I pass this
on or does it always continue if it's run from the command line?

If it's compiled from the command line then the compiler does NOT display
the ".exe currently in use by another process yada" message any longer.
This message dialog really should not be displayed a silent compile (quite a
few developers use the SB6 command line compiler on a server). Then the
compilation process terminates and the error is logged in the in the
compiler.txt file.
