FTP error message

I am receiving an error message when I try to FTP to my site via
setupbuilder
This did work yesterday and has been working previously but today I am
getting an error

Wininet error 12003

Hi Eric,

I think this problem occurs when text returned by the FTP server is in a
format that WinInet cannot parse.

Perhaps you can try to disable PASSIVE mode.

I have passive mode disabled. But the problem is with my web hosting
provider as i can not ftp using several different programs, although front
page can ftp - weird

Eric,

If you have FrontPage Extensions enabled on your website it often messes up
regular FTP (and vice-versa).

Try creating a subfolder under the FP site and see if you can FTP directly
into that.

Actually i turned passive mode back on and all is well again
