View Full Version : Setup Builder Not registering CodeJock ActiveX controls

Using ver 6.9.2415:
Before I upgraded to this version, SB "was" registering the CodeJock ActiveX
controls.

It's no longer doing this.

Has anyone else had any similar problems?

Thanks,
Don

Ok.
Looks like it's not related to the version itself.
This was working before.
The Laptop I had all of this installed on was stolen.
Replaced it with a Desktop.
Re-Installed everything.

Uses the "same" .SB6 file, had it saved.

The target machine I'm testing with, one of our servers, local, XP SP2.

Same test machine as before.

I "do" have the checkbox checked to "Register as COM..." checked, same as
before.

Can someone help me on this?

Thanks,
Don

Well, you said you have the checkbox checked to "Register as COM..." (I
assume in the File Properties?) checked. This is not correct. CodeJock is
an ActiveX, so you have to check "Register as OCX/DLL/EXE/TLB".

Well, that's actually what I meant, just didn't get the wording correct.

I've attached 2 screenshots of the file in question.

Thanks,
Don

Just curious, why do you think the OCX is not registered?
"Self-registration" means that the OCX registers itself.

I assume it has something to do with your OCX license. How to you use the
CodeJock license code?

BTW, the above issue has nothing to do with SetupBuilder!

For what it's worth, this has nothing to do with SetupBuilder.
I installed the CodeJock stuff on my XP test machine, and the problem is
still there.

Am looking at the wrapper itself now.

PS: I got several "fast/good" emails from Friedrich on this within the last
hour.
Excellent Service !!!

Thanks,
Don
