Friedrich,

Congratulations on this important announcement and new marketing advantage.

Over the years I have examined literally thousands of programs for the
Encourager Software profile exchanges and absolutely cringe at the install
software of far too many programs. Again and again, I'm thinking, why aren't
they using SetupBuilder? <g>

Yes, when you find a SetupBuilder install, it's like a taking the wheel of a
fine sports car, winding it through the gears, downshifting and accelerating
through a turn, and letting the wind sail through your hair!

Thanks to you and your crew for taking your dreams to the next level, we are
all better for knowing you.

Very nice, Friedrich! Congratulations.

Do you send these press releases to the big wide world, i.e.
computer magazines, business journals, etc?

Sue,

Thank you :)

No, we did not. But this is a very good point. Up to now word of mouth
from existing customers was our greatest sales tool. I think it's time to
keep our business in the public eye and send out press releases. Thanks for
a great idea!

Sorry Friedrich,

I use your fantastic SetupBuilder 4.0 for years now and I love it, because
it meets my lazy programmer philosphy perfectly and it was never a point of
risk. Two years ago I've made a project together with an big international
information company and their folks was completely perplexed about this
incredible installer tool. There were also perplexed when they saw, what is
possible with Clarion and ONE hardcore Clarion driven system architect.
Because they like .NET and "sophisticated technology" they were cicked off
by my customer - there was no usefull output for just one year (I was really
shocked, they got a lot of money for even nothing).

I was really impressed, when I see the SetupBuilder 5.0 user interfaced and
because I'am allready hard loaded I closed it after some minutes and put it
back into the cabinet of future and famous favorits. But I promise to check
it out on the next free days (perhaps 2020, when I've take the 60ties).

Weiterhin gute Geschäfte,
Bernd

When you are ready (and you are ready now, that's a perfect press
release, and there is no time like the present), I highly
recommend Al Harberg of http://www.dpdirectory.com

He is awesome. His base rate includes checking your press
release, making suggestions for improvement (where needed), and
he always does spell checking and goes over it to make it flow
smoothly in American English. (He has a lot of non-Americans as
customers.)

Al has been doing this a very long time. Press releases he sends
out regularly end up in newspapers and magazines, both big and
small. Big as in Wall Street Journal and PC Magazine.

There are no guarantees, however -- it depends on what the
editors need at that moment. But having a good, usable press
release getting sent to the right editor is a big part of it.
You get that with Al.

Mention my name, tell him you are an old friend of mine and
Arnor's. It won't get you a discount, but hey. :) Do be
patient about him getting back to you, he is VERY busy. If you
don't hear back from him in 3 or 4 days, a gentle "did you get my
email" generally will get a response. He's worth the wait.

Hi Sue,

Thank you very much.

I already gave PRWEB.COM a go yesterday afternoon. But Al Harberg looks
more promising!

I'll give this some thoughts.

Thanks again,

Hi Friedrich,

> Thank you very much.

You are most welcome.

> I already gave PRWEB.COM a go yesterday afternoon. But Al Harberg looks

PRWEB and Al Harberg are really two very different things. It is
a good idea to do both -- but if I had to choose only one, I'd go
with Al. There is a better chance your press release will get
picked up by major publications with his service. But both are
very good -- doing both is wise.

> I'll give this some thoughts.

Nah, just do it. <g> It's only $129 to have Al review and
distribute your press release -- how many sales would you have to
make to cover that? Press releases are an important part of a
marketer's arsenal - why not take advantage of the big guns
yourself? You've already done the hardest part, which is writing
the press release.

You might also think about joining AISIP. We talk about this
kind of stuff in our private newsgroups... The current hot topic
is email marketing. One of your fellow countrymen had quite an
interesting comment about it. ;)
