Im having a problem with an install I setup when I download the install from
my website

when I download and install using my browser and select RUN instead of save,
the file downloads and installs just fine and everything looks good. HOWEVER
when the app opens after the install finishes the directory in HELP > ABOUT
is wrong

If I then exit and restart the app, all is fine and the directory is what is
should be

For example:

Lets say I use Firefox to download and install
the opening directory is c:\program files\mozilla firefox

if I use opera
c:\program files\opera

if I use ie, avant browser or Maxthon - same problem
However the release date is correct

If I then exit the program and start the program again the directory is what
it should be c:\program files\shipmate

If I use the webupdater to download and install updates I dont have this
problem and if i run the install locally without downloading, I dont have
this problem

I have tried this on 3 computers
Ever see this before?

Eric,

A classic default folder problem, IMO. Set the current folder and it should
work fine.

Eric,

You can do this in your application (e.g. at startup).

Im still confused
This only happens when downloading a full install from my website
If I download an update I don't have this problem
If I run the install from my computer after compiling the install I don't
have this problem

Eric,

I think, the browsers change the current folder to a temporary directory and
download the file. Then the current folder is set it back to the browsers
app folder (c:\program files\mozilla firefox or c:\program files\opera,
etc.).
It's not an installer problem!
