Hi Friederich and all,

I am just getting started using SB 5 and am on version 5.0.1244.
Sadly, I missed the oportunity to re-activate my support and upgrade
to the developers version due to being very busy with a family medical
emergency.

Anyway, I want to be able to give the user a choice during installation
of access for all users or just this user. I see in the shortcuts dialog
there
is a check box to provide access for all users and I am assuming that
not checking this box means access for the installing user only.
Is there an example that shows how to give the user a choice?

BTW, I still need to activate my support and upgrade to the Dev
version. Any chance of grand fathering in on the now expired
special?

Ron,

What you can do is to use the User Info dialog and enable the "user type
option". The installer will handle all this for you.

And you can use the "Set Installer Flag" script function.

Does this help?

Friedrich,

I tried your suggestion. I closed the project, went to
tools, Dialog Templates, selected User Info and enabled
User type option on the advanced tab. I pressed the Ok
button twice. Did not seem to get access to the dialog
so I went back to check and discovered that my changes
to the dialog template are not being saved.

Am in the right area?

Friedrich,

Pushed the panic button too soon. Got it figured out. This is still a
*little* new to me.
