errorcode ?

Hi all,

Under VMware XP SP2 since today I get this new errorcode when I try to
launch either the wupdate or even the setup exe error 0002:000126

Seems something in the registry or other has changed

If anyone has an idea

The same exe's under w2k3 ent SP1 are perfect (vmware pb?)

Hi Jean-Pierre,

This is a loader error. Installer error code 0002 means the installation
application loader cannot link into the lspack decompression library and
Windows error code 000126 means the module (in this case the lspack DLL)
cannot be found.

I think there is a problem with the VMWare XP SP2 setup or a virus scanner
or something like that removes the required lspack library at runtime.
Because you did not receive an installer error 0001 the lspack library was
installed properly.

We are using VMWare on 6 different machines to host 25 Windows OSs and I
have never seen this before.

Thanks for those usefuull infos
It was a pb in the XP environnement : I had set the TEMP dir to a shared
folder on the host and all was working properly except I could not install
anything !!??!!

I replace my acronis image and all is perfect again
