All,

SetupBuilder 5.5 Developer Edition provides point-and-click support for core
pre-requisites. The new Core PreRequisites feature in SetupBuilder makes it
possible to streamline the installation process and to ensure the
pre-requisite components are in place.

We are ready to deploy your .NET applications!

The Redistributable Manager, available from the Help menu, lets you obtain
redistributable files. The Manager can download the following packages from
our web site (more to come):

- Microsoft Windows Installer 2.0
- Microsoft Windows Installer 3.1
- Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package (x86)
- Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC) 2.8
- Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (x86)
- Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 (x86)
- Microsoft Visual J# 2.0 runtime
- Microsoft DirectX 9.0c (June 2006)
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 Desktop Engine (MSDE 2000) Release A
redistributable
- Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition redistributable

We expect high traffic (450 GB) over the next ten days.

Don't ask <vbg>

The next SetupBuilder version comes with the MSM merge module compiler.
We can then distribute CR powered by the CR Xi merge modules - but you
need Clarion.net to make use of it <g>

I am playing with the new Core PreRequisites feature so I turned on
"Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0 (x86)". It includes
rt_dotnetframework3_x86.sbi into my project. But when I am trying to Compile
I got this error:

Hello,

This could be too obvious, but I'll ask, did you download the .NET Framework
3.0 redistributable (see Redistributable Manager, available from the Help
menu)?

Of course NO <g>. I have pressed F1 from "Core PreRequisites" and there is
NO any reference or ever mentioned about Redistributable Manager so I had no
idea how to
get/download redistributable. So this confuses me. I think you need to put
some link to the "Redistributable Manager" help topic.

BTW, GREAT product!!!

Thank you :)

Yes, you are absolutely right. It's only under "Downloading Redistributable
Files". We need to improve this in the help and manual.

Thanks,
Friedrich

How about the ability to redistribute the MS Office Access 2003 runtime from
the Access Developers Kit?
