View Full Version : SB5.5 problem

I had left out a file in my SetupBuilder 5.5 installation for one of my
programs. I went back in, added the .DLL I was missing and then recompiled
the installation. Now, when I test or run, the installation displays the
first screen and then subsequently disappears. The installation is not
performed. What could be the problem???.... I've had to revert back to my
SB4.03 installation.

Ben,

I don't think it's the .DLL you added. IMO, you also added a license
agreement before compiling the last setup, right? You did not send the
license agreement, but I think there are lines larger than 1 KB (not
documented, sorry). A simple CR/LF can help here.

Our latest internal compiler is already able to detect this and will display
a compiler error in the next build.

Does this help?

Yes, I did add a license.rtf and readme.rtf file... Thanks, I'll check it
out and let you know.

Hi Ben,

Would it be possible to send your (original) license.rtf and readme.rtf
files to support (at) lindersoft (dot) com to check if the new compiler
detects this line length problem on your files?

Thanks,
Friedrich

Sure... here they are attached... luckily I had a backup of them as I have
already changed them.
