All,

Lindersoft is pleased to announce that SetupBuilder 6.0 Developer Edition is
released.

SetupBuilder(R) Version 6 is a powerful and easy to use Installation
Authoring and Configuration Management environment for developers and
organizations deploying applications to the Microsoft(R) Windows(R)
Platform, including Windows x64 and Windows Vista(R).

As rapid application development (RAD) tools have become commonplace,
simplifying the development process and reducing project life cycles, the
ability to create smooth, efficient applications in less time often means
needing to deploy them just as quickly.

If you distribute software to others-within a department, company, or to the
public-ensuring that your users can install the software smoothly should be
a major concern. SetupBuilder 6 can help ease your mind.

Unlike the monolithic installation technologies available today,
SetupBuilder 6 has been designed from the ground up to deliver a perfect
fusion of installation authoring, web deployment, configuration management,
and scripting technologies. When Windows Installer .msi is simply not
enough...use SetupBuilder 6.

SetupBuilder 6 makes it easy to build powerful installation applications
quickly. If you are new to programming, you will find SetupBuilder 6 easy
to learn.

Developer Edition gets you ready for Windows Vista and .NET application
deployment (Clarion.net, C#, etc.). Our iDeploy Internet distribution
technology allows you to very easily deploy and update your applications
over the Internet. The powerful built-in UpdatePROTECT feature provides a
way to handle software subscriptions. This technology is well suited for
software subscription services in which the end-users subscribe, for
instance on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, etc. basis.

SetupBuilder 6 Developer Edition starts at $299 USD for a royalty-free usage
license. A trial version is available.

To install the full (licensed) version 6.0, please use your current
password, serial number and Subscription Plan ID.

SetupBuilder 5.6 and SetupBuilder 6.0 can coexist on the same machine.

We'll make more information available tomorrow.

Regards,

Jean-Pierre,

We'll make the .sb5 examples (of course, converted to .sb6) available as a
separate download within the next 48 hours.

"Wizard Auto Break" is not required any longer, so it's just a warning
because the compiler skips that line.

Hello,

I'm confused.

> To install the full (licensed) version 6.0, please use your current
> password, serial number and Subscription Plan ID.

Does this cost money?

I do a check for updates, no go.
I went to download the version, and asked for UN/PW. I put in my old one,
doesn't work.

I haven't recieved any email telling me I get it, but I think with my maint.
plan I do.

Hi,

My Maint. Plan says:

Valid Until (Date) 2007/08/31

I guess I'll just download the Trial Version and apply the same maint key?

Download with your sb5 codes and then use the serial and MP of sb5 to
register the sb6 - after uninstalling sb5 as they are not compatible on the
same machine

Hi Jean-Pierre,

According to Friedrich's post they can:

SetupBuilder 5.6 and SetupBuilder 6.0 can coexist on the same machine.

Don't know about 5.0 though, but the latest 5.6 should then be able to
exist on the same machine.

Hello,

How can I download it?

It asks for a username and password, and no one told me what the username
and password is!

Hi,

Nevermind...the USERNAME is CaSe SenSiTive! I've heard of PW's being case
sensitive, but not user names.

Hmmmmmm!!! I'm all set.

Hi Robert,

Most of the sites that I loginto are case sensitive on both user names
and passwords.

Hi Robert,

>Most likely a UNIX box. :-)

Most of the sites that I login to are on linux<g> but that has nothing
to do with usernames/passwords being case sensitive. That has to do
with the web developer. There is nothing more mystical about that
than using a upper() or lower() function in Clarion to make
username/password case insensitive. Same thing applies to web
development languages:)

Hi Robert,

>Most likely a UNIX box. :-)

Sorry, not thinking clearly. I see that you probably mean the
internet login/password, but I was thinking just web page login, i.e.
not the .htaccess thing...
