Friedrich,

Testing my uninstall. When I install to a network drive (mapped), all is
well. If I uninstall from the same machine, all is well. If I run the
uninstall from the networked drive (using a different machine), only the
uninstall program and log are removed.

Is this normal?

Yes Russ it is normal because the 'other machine' as I explained in private, cannot read the same path as the original machine : registry's are not accessed same way so
.....it will always fail

open the uninstall log file and look there are registry keys there so how can that 'other machine' access those keys ?

at least this is how I perceive this situation

my tip was and is : you want to be smarter then a 'crooked' user ? be even more crooked then he is and rename the uninstaller file from the installer to something like xxx.dll
he will not think about using it and you are safe ....

Friedrich will certainly come up with a way of doing this or other ways ;)

Russ,

Yes, this is the expected behavior. If you start the uninstall from a
different machine (and I assume the logged file paths are not equal to the
"real" file locations), then uninstall can't remove the logged files. For
example, the mapped drive letter is Z:\ (original machine) and on the other
machine it is C:\ or D:\. The uninstaller can't find the original files.
