Hi,
I have an install that works fine on XP, but on Vista the Icons do not get
put on the Desktop.

Do I need to do something different for it to work on Vista?

Is it an icon problem or do the shortcuts themselves not appear on the
desktop?
Vista supports new icon formats
(http://www.axialis.com/tutorials/tutorial-vistaicons.html ) but I have
installers that display ugly old 16x16 icons on the Vista desktop.

I assume you've tried logging off and on again, or hitting F5 to refresh the
desktop?

Is your installer running with a requireAdministrator manifest?

David,

In addition to what Jane suggested, on Shortcut Properties, did you
re-check Target Operation System to see that Vista checkbox (s) are
checked?

AND, under Script Editor - General installer functions - there is a Refresh
Desktop function available to help you as well. I think Vista has a Refresh
problem, and this function helps.

Do they show up if you right click on the desktop and select "Refresh" ?

Best regards,
