Hi Jean-Pierre,

I will leave it to Charles to explain in detail what RegKISS / SoftDefense
is <g>.

In short, RegKISS is a "back end" registration code management and delivery
system. It helps developers issue and maintain codes for software
registration and update subscriptions.

At its heart, SoftDefense is a Clarion based set of tools, classes and
templates that make it easy to use Armadillo to protect Clarion apps.

We'll provide built-in support for RegKISS / SoftDefense in SetupBuilder 6.x

Friedrich

Friedrich,

BTW, for what I know about these two product lines, you gave a FIRST CLASS
summary description. Charles, in his best abbreviated mode, could never
achieve that! :-)

Possibly he already owes you some AD copy money?!

Hi Friedrich,

Thanks in advance for adding the Microsoft SQL Service Script Support! That
pretty exciting news!

Hi Friedrich

Does the SQL scripts only apply to MSSQL?

I would be interested in scripts that could run against Firebird. Something like the user enters the
DBA user & password and then a script runs that creates a user, and an empty databse and then run a
few other create/initlaise scripts.

But since access to FireBird is via ODBC I think this will be quite difficult (maybe with MAV?).

Cheers

Chris

Hi Chris,

At the moment only MSSQL is in development.

I'll have to check what is required in order to run against Firebird.

Thanks,
Friedrich

Oh, this is I'm waiting from a long time. What about command-line driven
subscription key generation? So I don't have to manually generate each new
key? I could easily make a program that send the serial, date and/or version
+ features to a command-line driven program.
