Help - File servers being rebooted automatically.

Hello,

This keeps happening to us....and it causes some issues with our clients.
We have an "Active-X" type of setup builder (5.6 and 6.0) and it has no
prompts. It just runs without any prompts at all. When it is finished, it
AUTOMATICALLY reboots the computer 25% of the time WITHOUT any warning,
message, prompt or anything!

Under Advanced tab, the ONLY thing checked is "Disable Windows File
Protection" and "Disable Rollback after Failed Installation". All others
are unchecked.

Today, we ended up rebooting a server with 25 people on in the middle of a
busy morning. :-(

It seems like maybe if there are no Wizard Dialogs in the installer, it will
reboot itself without any warning at all to the user.

Can you reproduce this at will on your machine(s)? Would it be possible for

Hello,

I am guessing that if the Sybase ODBC component is 'in-use', and it does the
upgrade, then it finds it in-use. SetupBuilder seems to reboot the machine
immediately without any prompt to the user to do/finish the installation.
But, since there are no Wizard Dialogs in this entire script, I think the
script is rebooting without prompting the user.

Robert,

I tested this here on our server. Please set the "Reboot Message During
Silent Install" option to "Yes" (General Information -> Advance Settings)

By the way, if you would like to completely disable rebooting, add the
following (to the end) of your script.

Set Installer Flag $SB_RESTARTFLAG$ to "0"
