View Full Version : "Enable Access For All Windows Users" option being ignored?

Hi Friedrich:

I'm creating a SB6 install which doesn't install any file, it just creates
shortcuts.

It works fine, but it always creates the shorcuts in \documents and
settings\all users\desktop instead of \docum...\someuser\desktop.

I tried enabling and disabling "Enable Access For All Windows Users", but
the shortcuts were always created in ...\All Users\desktop.

I'm not sure if this is a SB bug or something I'm doing wrong. Any idea?

I'm using Windows XP Pro SP2 Spanish.

Script is here: http://sca.com.mx/ftp/shortcuts.zip in case you want to
review it.

Thanks!

Hi Carlos,

Please try the following. Use the "Set Installer Flag" script function and
enter the $SB_ALLUSERSFLAG$ flag. Do *not* mark the "Set Flag" option.

Does this help?

Yes, with this flag set to 0 in the script, the shorcuts are created in the
user desktop.

So, is the "Enable Access For All Windows Users" IDE option failing or is it
for something else?

Hi Carlos,

You can use this flag if you do not display the User Info dialog with the
"Enable User Type Info" option enabled.
