Is there a way of showing the Custom Script Functions as the default rather
than the Standard ones.

Just annoying you have to click on Custome every time.

I am sure I have missed a checkbox somewhere.

Changed in the latest internal source codes now.

IMPROVEMENT: [SB#910191] IDE: Store the state of the Standard/Custom
Script Functions list option in the Script Editor.
