Hi Friedrich,

I thought you'd like to know about this:

I was installing C7 on a XP VM that apparently didn't have .NET 2.0
framework installed (no idea why not<g>) So it downloads the framework and
installs it (there was a small window that came up at what appeared to be
the end of the msi install that never updated, no caption, no text on it and
it stayed up for a couple of minutes while there was a lot of disk activity,
don't know what that was)

Anyway after the framework install the C7 install continued, but after I had
pressed the Next button until it should have started copying the files, it
came up with a "Please insert disk #1" message. I just cancelled the
install and ran it again and everything worked. Don't know why it would ask
for disks so I thought I'd let you know:) As far as I can tell, both
installs were successful.

Best regards,

Hi Arnór,

In this case, "Please insert disk #1" means that there was a transmission
error (you received a corrupt installer) and "Enable Installer Integrity
Check" is not enabled.

The install is fine. This ONLY happened after installing the .net
framework. I have used this install on several VMs and couple of test
machines as well with no problems. It also worked fine once the .net
framework was installed.

But you are rigth, the installer integrity is not checked on the C7
installs.

Best regards,
