View Full Version : MS LiveCare and wupdate

Freidrich,

I have installed MS LiveCare on a computer with XP as the OS. When
Wupdate.exe is run, LiveCare pops up a message asking if it's ok to connect
to the internet. When it does this Wupdate pops up a message saying it can't
connect to the internet and ends the update.

After answering Ok to LiveCare, and restarting Wupdate, everything works as
expected.

Is there anyway you could add, if it isn't already there, a message asking
if you want to retry the connection, instead of quitting the update?

TIA,

Bob

Bob,

Good idea. I think it should be possible to implement this.

Thank you for your suggestion!

Friedrich

Friedrich,

The scenario that I described does not seem to happen if the installer is
codesigned. I will contact the author of the program that caused the error
and inform him.

Thanks,

Bob
