Hi Richard,

Do you know when this happened (in which part of the compile)?

We have not received a similar report. Is this on your VMWare guest that
did not save your Tools, Options, File Locations <g> There are quite a few
SetupBuilder installations out there, so I have to make sure it's not
machine or project specific. If there is a bug in SetupBuilder then we'll
receive similar reports in a short period of time. For example, in case of
a showstopper, we'll receive 100-200 reports with the same report per day.
A bug in a major function results in 80-100 reports per day.

Some months ago, Jane reported that an incorrect code-signing password can
GPF the IDE. This seems to be caused by the Microsoft signtool.exe and I
can't do anything to fix this. Other than that, I have not seen the IDE
crash.

I can check the compiler if you know where in the compilation process it
crashes.

Thank you for your help.

Friedrich

Hi Friedrich

It is on my vmguest so what I can do sometime is create a new clone of a
master win7 32 bit and reinstall everything back onto that to see if its
machine/vmguest specific.

I do push my machine though so wouldnt be surprised if its a VM problem, as
it usually happens when I'm running other stuff, in this instance I was
installing an app with MS SQL 2008 on an xp instance at the same time the
script was compiling and to be be fair it does see to be when I'm getting
the machine to do lots.

I'll watch out for a pattern.<g>

That would be fantastic. Once we know where it GPFs, we can fix it <g>.

Thanks again for your help.

Only time I ever see a crash is on a compiler error and even then its random
and seldom. Not reproducible at all. If you can fix that based on such
skimpy information, I'll be impressed indeed! <g>
