On some - Not all- Vista PC PC's, the shortcuts are not generated. We do it
so, that we create a folder on the desktop, and this folder contains the
shortcuts if the foilder is created.

What can I have done wrong?

Merry Christmas and a happy new year to all!

I would check if it's not a simple "refresh" problem. Right-mouse click and
select Refresh. If the Shortcut appears, it's a refresh issue and you can
add a "Refresh Desktop" function to your script.

BTW, if the installer created a Shortcut, you'll see something like this in
your uninstall .log:

|005|_0000_|C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start
Menu\Programs\YourProgram\YourLink.lnk

If the above item is missing, then the installer did not create it.

Hope this helps.
