SB 6.5.1845.0

Version 1 installed into C:\MyFolder some time ago and created "Uninst.exe"
and "Uninst.log" for uninstalling.

Version 2, compiled with latest SB build, is also installed into C:\MyFolder
also using "Uninst.exe" and "Uninst.log" for uninstalling.

Installing version 2 failed to create a new "Uninst.exe" but did append all
information to the existing "Uninst.log" file as documented.

If I delete the "Uninst.exe" from the version 1 install prior to installing
version 2, the "Uninst.exe" is created and code signed properly.

Is this by design or should I plan on looking for and removing any
previously created uninstall exes?

Thanks.

Hi Lee,

Yes, this is by design and new in SetupBuilder 6.5.

This is from the release history:

> CHANGE : The installer does not overwrite an existing uninstall .log
> any longer. It opens and appends entries to an existing uninstall .log.

Very nice. It does not mention the uninstall application itself :-( I am
sorry for that!

It should read:

CHANGE : The installer does not any longer overwrite an existing
uninstall .log and an existing uninstall .exe. It opens and
appends entries to an existing uninstall .log.

Hi Friedrich,

Thanks for the explanation.

I will just have to remove the old one on my own. Not a big deal.

Hi Lee,

New "Overwrite Existing Uninstall Application" option added to the "Set
Installation Log Mode" script function.

This will be available in the next build.

Thanks,
Friedrich
