View Full Version : Request for addition to Uninstall window

Friedrich,

When uninstalling templates there is a rather lengthy wait, at least
on my old machine<g>, where nothing appears to be happening. This is
exaggerated when there are multiple templates to uninstall.

Any chance some information could be displayed such as 'Uninstalling
Registered Templates' and possibly the template name during this
process?

Two problems:

1. The uninstall does not display any specific uninstall progress
information. The uninstall per-se is too fast and displaying such
information would slow down the uninstall process.

2. There is no text resource for Clarion template unregistration (and this
is the killer argument here). We have an "Unregistering modules"
(PROG_ACTION44) text resource available. If the Clarion 3rd parties are
interested in this, I could try to add it.

It would look like:

Unregistering modules: your_template_file.tpl

For everything except template removal it flies but when I was testing
I actually thought it had locked up because it was just sitting there
and also because it did not redraw after opening/closing a window
above it... double whammy!<g>

I would have NO problem with this since it would provide feedback that
something was actually happening. So, from my perspective you get a
vote FOR the option.<g>

For some this might not be a necessity but I was unregistering 6 TPL
files which made the delay very obvious.
