I am thinking about distributing a program/data on a flash drive. The total
size of the program/data is around 270 meg. When plugged in I need for
SetupBuilder just to set the icon on the desktop with the appropriate path
of the flash drive.

Can this be done.

Thanks

Don,

No problem. Just use "Get System Information (Installer Path Name)" to
retrieve the current drive letter and you are done. Use that information to
set your Shortcut.

Does this help?

Thanks Friedrich,

It is is going to be interesting to see how shipping this on a flash drive
works for some clients.

Don, here are a couple of other ways to run apps from flash drives.

Thanks Eddie,

I just bought 3 512 Meg ScanDisk Flash Drives and they came with U3,
Portableapps is even cooler I think and I am going to keep one of these and
use it.

Doing a Google search I find that Autorun.inf is for CD's and the programs
found still won't do what I need.

The Flash Drive I send out will only have the one application/data and I
would like for it to load and run when the drive is plugged in.

Any ideas appreciated

Don Harvey
