Done - works great...

Any estimate on the user manual?

Paul,

Thank you!

We have to learn how to use our own system <g>. With so many new
technologies, it takes time for the real benefits to be understood and even
longer before these benefits reach the public.

The manual will be available by the end of this month (we have to document
more than 400 functions).

We'll add the last two missing main features (distribution wizard and auto
update scan) within the next few days and then we are feature complete (all
three editions).

Thanks,
Friedrich

Friedrich,

Updated from 1019 to 1021 and worked fine for me.

Still see blank "This Product Is Licensed To:" and "Unlicensed Beta Release"
messages on the "About" window even though the software was originally
installed using the key provided by you. How do I get this information into
the system?

Thanks.

Lee

Thank you, Lee. There is no SB5 evaluation version available at the moment,
so all installed SB5 products are "licensed". We'll enable the serial
number module by the end of next week. Of course, the setup.exe file
created with your SB5 copy will *not* time out!

Friedrich

WebUpdate works good! At the finish of installation I got this (see
image), as you can see there are a few strange check boxes. Don't know
why...

Hi Gennadi,

Hmm, strange... What O/S are you running?

Thanks,
Friedrich

hi friedrich,

win98SE

Also, the same problem I have with my our setup file: so I have 1 setup to
install our product for different version of clarion (so 3 version in one
file). For c5 setup work pretty good, for c55 and c6 I have the same strange
check boxes on the FINISH dialoge...

Friedrich,

Is there an example as to how you do this? Or is that part of the upcoming
docs?

Russ,
There's a live update client script in the Redist\1033 folder.
I haven't played with it yet...

Russ,

It's part of the upcoming docs. But I'll make a "How to..." quick guide
available soon. I have to learn how to use our own SB5 system ;-)

And I thought it was just me <bg> This is such a major leap forward, all
sorts of new stuff. Feel like a newbie again <g>. Despite this, nothing
really looks totally new (except the scripting - the debugger is a nice
touch!)

When do you plan to activate the remaining modules, like the distribution
tool? I migrating an SB4 project with no problems and am curious if those
distro settings are still in the project.

<BG>

Thank you!! I hope to activate all the remaining modules within the next 7
days.

The SB5 web updates are already generated through the "Auto Update Scan"
module. But it needs some speed optimizations. BTW, the "auto update"
generation technology was already in use to create the C5.5g "cumulative
patch" ;-)

Thanks,
Friedrich
