I got an update for a product that we use and after installing it on my
Win 7 pro 64-bit machine that product stopped working. After numerous
emails and a go to meeting sesstion with the developer, they determined
that the problem was the installer. They had just updated to the latest
Wise installer and it did not work properly on Win 7 64-bit. They
thanked me for my time and said they would get me a fix sometime this
week. I suggested they look at SB <g>.

I have done the same with a dev using Installshield, but it's a tough
sell sometimes, I guess.

The user experience is noticeably clunkier than a typical SB install.

And there are a lot of installs in the music software world that are
absolutely horrible. These are HUGE (~1GB) installs, that instead of
just running, they have to extract to a (user specified) folder, which
ends up using way way more space than reasonably necessary, then they
don't clean up when they're done. bah.
