View Full Version : Remove %TMPDIR%

Hi Friedrich,

if there are some files in the %TMPDIR% folder, which doen't come from
"include support file" statements, the folder (and its contents) will
not be removed at the end of my setup.

Is there a possibility to "force" a %TMPDIR% cleanup?

Of course, I could delete the files via script, but what, if the users
cancels the setup?

Good question. I have to give it some thoughts. I think we can add an
"installer flag" option to the installer to handle this.

We have changed the runtime and the installer handles this automatically
now. When the installer terminates and there are still files in the
temporary folder, the files are deleted.

Hi Friedrich,

it seems not to work, if you quit your setup via "exit installation"
script item and i guess (not checked) if you leave the script via
"cancel" button, it also doen't work.

Hmm, it works fine here. I created a standard new project. Then executed
the setup.exe and copied a "Markus test file" file to the temporary folder.
Then I pressed the "Cancel" button and the installer (automatically) removed
the file and the temporary folder.

See attached screenshots.
