So that's why it asked for my serial number again when installing the
update? IIRC, that wasn't the previous behavior...

This time it's asking me it uninstall the previous version - I suspect it
will ask me for SN too.....

Yep - mine never had my name in the registered use info, so I suspect it's
been fixed.....

Jane,

Yes, that's correct. You should see your name in the About... screen now.

And at the moment we are "experimenting" with the web update technology.
This time it was a full ("static") install web update. I think the next web
update will be a "dynamic" WebUpdate image. It can retrieve just the pieces
needed for the user's specific requirements.

Thanks,
Friedrich

Friedrich,

Used the Check for Updates inside #1022 SB5 Dev and it updated to #1030
without any problems, and the SB5 registration worked properly as well. (OS
W2K PRO, SP4)

Excellent work, congratulations to you and your fine crew for the meticulous
continued refinements, and what will soon become a ongoing series of
accolades from the software industry as this landmark version is released to
the general public.

See Attachments...

When I clicked Check for Updates from the menu (image 1) SB became system
modal and clicking on any of the active programs in the toolbar (image 2) it
would not switch to any of the programs only blink. When I mininimized SB
the Webupdate dialog showed (image 3).

I think somehow SB became system modal and would not let me switch, as soon
as I minimized SB 5, I could then switch between programs.
