Hi all,

Does somebody have a script to check and TURN OFF the Opportunistic Locking
settings on a Windows 2000/2003/2008 server?
(On a 2008 server SMB2 has to be turned off in order to let the oplocks
setting work.)

Is there also a script for the workstations, so for Windows XP/Vista/7
workstations?
Or is it sufficient to only turn off oplocks at the server side??

Hope somebody can help me with this.

Best regards
Jeffrey

Hi Dan,

Thanks.
I have tried them, but I prefer to use a SB script so that I know
exactly what's going on and so that I can make any further future changes.

Question about Windows 2008 Server:
Does your tool also recognize Windows 2008 server and turn off the reg.
setting "SMB2"?
