Hi Friedrich,

The help on wucheck.exe indicates that if /S and or /Q are specified the
update will be downloaded and executed, exactly the same as in wuupdate. Is
this correct? I thought wucheck.exe ONLY checked for updates, but did NOT
download or execute them.

Best regards,

Arnor,

It's the silent no-UAC-elevation-check, but can also download
http://www.lindersoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=26339

And remember, you have the source code for both wupdate and wucheck in the
setupbuilder\Redist\1033 folder.
So you can verify exactly what they do and also use those sources as a
starting point for your own custom versions.

Thanks, I was under the impression that it only checked and did not
download, so I wondered if the docs were right as they seemed to be a
copy/paste from wupdate to wucheck<g>
