Last year I posted the following "success story":

http://www.lindersoft.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1191

Quick summary: in early 2006, the company moved to a flexible software
maintenance subscription model. They improved software license upgrade (=
subscription) revenue by 70% and realized over $500,000 in incremental
revenue. Renewal rate was 79% for existing (three and six month)
Subscription and Support Certificates. The maintenance subscription model
and web update technology was powered by SetupBuilder 5.x Developer Edition.

The CFO allowed me to post the updated figures, but I can't mention the
company name (privately held).

They released a new major version in March 2007. New software license sales
increased by 7%. Renewal rate for 3-month / 6-month / 12-month subscription
certificates is 84% now. They did $914,000 revenue under the new
maintenance subscription model in 2006. Expected revenue under the new
maintenance subscription model for 2007 is $1.1m. The maintenance
subscription model and web update technology is powered by SetupBuilder 6.5
Developer Edition.

Hi Friedrich,

Just shows again how powerful SetupBuilder is.

Just a pitty you did not negotiate commission structure. :-)

Congratulations.

I always knew you are going to go placed.
With your type of support, people skills and such a great product it just
had to.

Regards

Johan de Klerk
