View Full Version : Run after install

I had always been led to believe it was unsafe to run an application
immediately after an install i.e. "Do you want to run or restart the program
now" on the last screen of the installer.

I note that when SB installs it asks to close down SB, installs then
relaunches. The only difference with mine is that I close down the running
application from within SB and then install.

So how is this achieved (relaunching the program) as I understood there was
some issue that was unsafe.

TIA

Just use the cool "Launch non-elevated under UAC" option and you are safe
;-)

BTW, there is an interesting "Run Non-Elevated" topic (and source code demo)
in the Learning SetupBuilder Part I.

Does this help?

Thanks Friedrich.

BTW STILL getting the thread message even after updating to the latest

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, there is nothing that we can do here
:-(
