View Full Version : Report after compile -- HTML is nice, but CSV would be better for analysis

Hi Friedrich,

Please consider adding an option to put out the report in tab delimited
CSV format. This makes it easy to import into excel in a formatted
fashion.

From there the report can be sorted and checked in various ways. At
least that is what I do to it after manually making the CSV file by
importing the HTML into Excel and exporting that to CSV and then
merging the two lines that make up each line of the report and then
importing that into Excel again.

It wouldn't be too bad in html I guess if the destination folder was
followed by the source folder instead of being in the same column.
That forces 2 lines in Excel on the html import. :(

Thank you very much,

Bob Roos

Also, it you did that would you put the date and time of the file into
separate fields so the lines can be sorted by date?

Thanks again, Bob Roos

When do you anticipate this being available online?

I wish that all software vendors were as on top of things as you are.
you are a model for me and my work. That is for sure.
