View Full Version : Jiangmin KV Antivirus 2010 13.0.900 (false-positive bug)

Jiangmin KV Antivirus 2010! (a security software vendor in China) flags
applications compiled with SetupBuilder 7 as "Trojan/Diple.dpd".

Of course, this is a "false-positive". When a legitimate file is
incorrectly detected as infected by an antivirus product, the anti-virus
system vendors call it a "false positive" or a "false alarm". But let's
call it what it is: it's nothing more than a NASTY BUG in their software and
they did a bad job.

Unfortunately, they do not answer any of our emails. We sent several emails
during the last two weeks but they do not have any interest in fixing this
bug.

Not sure why Norton and McAfee and Jiangmin KV Antivirus don't just use If
Else End

If We wrote the program (Who do you think writes the virus stuff to stay in
business)
Probably is a Virus
Else
Not a Virus
End
May they could simply code their psuedo name into the viruses for easy ID<g>
