Please note that a code signing certificate is an identity certificate, so
you will have to prove to Comodo that you are who you say you are. Here are
a few Comodo Registration Authority Validation tips.

When filling out the order form make sure you use your legal name! Your
legal name can be your personal name if you are ordering individually or a
company name if you have a registered company. DBA companies can get a
certificate in the business name if the name is registered with your local
government, a utility company or a bank.

If you apply for a Comodo code-signing certificate as an individual, your
name will appear as the publisher, you cannot use an alias or DBA name. For
example, if your name is "Joe User", and you do business as "The Cool
Software Company", your cert will bear the name Joe User; it cannot bear the
name The Cool Software Company. If you want to use The Cool Software
Company as the publisher name, you need to incorporate The Cool Software
Company and apply under that corporate name.

If you are applying for a code signing certificate in a registered company's
name, you will be asked to provide one of the following:

- Articles of Incorporation/Organization
- Business License
- DUNS details (e.g. your Dun & Bradstreet company number)
- A full list of acceptable business documentation from all countries can be
found here:

To help the validation process go smoothly, use an Email address at a domain
that is owned by YOU or YOUR company. Comodo will look at the WHOIS of the
domain you use on the order page so make sure any WhoisGuard or Privacy
options have been disabled. You can re-apply any privacy settings once
Comodo verified domain ownership. If you would like to check the WHOIS of
your domain, you can use:

Do not use a free email address like Hotmail, Gmail or an email address
provided by your ISP.
