What download method does SetupBuilder use?

Does the update script use FTP or some other file transfer method?

Been doing our own automatic updates from GoDaddy using FTP and just
wondering if there is a better (more reliable) file transfer method.

They use http - and the automatic update check & download work an
absolute charm.

SB has ftp abilities. After a successful compile, I'm asked to upload to ftp site
and if I click Yes, up it goes.

The SetupBuilder installer makes use of HTTP.
