All,

As you may already know, Digital River, the parent company that owns our
online ecommerce provider eSellerate, is experiencing significant hardware
issues that are affecting eSellerate and all Digital River platforms.
Senior-level engineers and technicians from Hitachi and Sun Microsystems (an
Oracle company) are on-site at the corporate datacenter to resolve this
issue. In addition, Digital River's executive team has assigned every
available resource to bring an end to the disruption of service.

Our online store was and is continuing to take orders. But confirmations
for the orders and fulfillment will be delayed until the hardware problem
has been fixed.

So if you have ordered during the last 24-36 hours and you have not received
your serial number and/or maintenance and support plan extension yet, please
contact our Sales at sales@lindersoft.com.

We are sorry for any inconveniences this has caused. But unfortunately,
this is completely out of our control. To keep you informed, we will
provide updates on their progress as more details are available.

Yes, I agree. When the cloud goes down, so does your business. Even a
company with that much infrastructure can't handle the cloud. The backbone
of the Digital River system supports tens of thousands of online businesses
around the world. And the same happened a few months ago to the Amazon
cloud. What a nightmare.

BTW, the Hitachi and Sun Microsystems engineers have isolated the problem to
the storage area network (SAN). Because of the size and scope of the
problem and the length of time needed to restore the SAN, the engineers told
that the SAN may be back online on Friday. Yes, that was two days ago <g>.
Once the SAN is restored, they will begin the process of bringing clients
back online.

Update: Engineers and technicians from Hitachi and Sun Microsystems continue
to diligently work on bringing all systems up and operational. Order
notifications dated 2/23+ are rolling in and our system can generate the
subscription keys. I hear that they are rebuilding data after they have got
the basic skeleton system back online on a network by network basis. What a
hell of a weekend!

SetupBuilder renewal notifications are currently being sent out. If you
have ordered and you have not received your serial number and/or maintenance
and support plan extension yet, please contact our Sales at
sales@lindersoft.com.

Thank you for your patience.

We checked this with eSellerate and our online store was and is continuing
to take orders. The ordering system is back to normal. Publisher Accounts
are still down but that does not affect orders.
