Hello,

I have an urgent situation.
I believe that I have setup my installer to run on Windows 2000.
I made sure that the Target Operation System on my files can be installed on Windows 2000 and also my General Information Generator tab has the Installer Type as Windows 32-bit. However, I have a couple of clients that say that when they the moment they try to invoke the installer on their Windows 2000 OS, they receive the following pop-up message
"Setup Builder 7.7 The operating system is not adequate for running my program."
Did I miss somewhere else to allow this installer to run on Windows 2000? I can tell you that one of the clients is running Windows 2000 Terminal Services.

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Joanne

Joanne,

Of course, SetupBuilder supports Windows 2000 (and earlier) ;-)

I think you made the following mistake: in the "Requirements" Visualizer (see attached screenshot), you unmarked the "OS Independent" checkbox in the OS Version Checking feature and then you disabled support for Windows 2000 (and earlier?). Fix this and you are done.

Does this help?

Hello Friedrich,

You are sheer perfection!! That's exactly the mistake that I did. I think you are looking over my shoulder.

Thanks so much :)
