Delete on Clean?

I'm a bit confused regarding what this means. I've left the defaults (*.exe;*.0*;*.htm) but am uncertain what this really means.

The docs say "The compiler deletes files from the working folder (usually a temporary folder) where a project's configuration is built. Files with extensions specified with this property will be deleted when you perform a rebuild."

I compile the project and the setup program gets built but additional *.EXE remain in the folder so clearly I don't understand what this is intended to do.

Please check Tools | Options... | Compiler Tab

Do you have the "Enable 'Extensions to Delete on Clean'" checkbox marked?

Yep, that does it.

Another question though. One of my projects always opens with the name columns in the source pane and the target pane "minimized". I can of course grap the handle but it is very annoying to have to do this every time. How can I change this behavior?
