Download Failed

Hi

I have a client (very techological up to date) that just observed that the
update file was downloading (via wupdat.exe), and at the last few bytes of
the download the whole system just froze up. When the system became
responsive again, it showed that the file download failed.

When he went back into the program to check for the update again (to
re-download it), it showed that there are no new updates. The system has in
fact not been updated yet.

Ben,

wupdate.exe (the web update client) does not modify anything on the users
system (except the last check date). You have the full source code in your
Redist\1033 folder.

So whatever happened on his system, it was not caused by wupdate.exe!

By the way, some more information.

The wupdate.exe Web Update Client only downloads and executes the Web
Installer Update Package. This downloaded Web Installer Update Package
updates the version ID on the client machine, not wupdate.exe. And it does
this only if the installation process was successful!
