Free range of movement text script editor mode?

Hello,

Is it possible to edit the scripts like a normal text editor, then also use
the "details" option to adjust it. it be much more comfortable and fast for
me to copy/paste then adjust the items right there in the editor. for any
flags/attributes I don't know off the top of my head, I could right click
and use "details" to get a list.

You can select multiple-files in the "Files and Folders" Visualizer to edit
the properties. But you can't edit the script with a text editor. The
underlying format with all the different function options is very complex.
