View Full Version : Shortcut order

I have just added a new shortcut to my application as an upgrade but when
added it appears at the end of the shortcut list.

Is there any way to have the list automatically sorted into alphabetic
order?

The only other way is to add all my shortcuts each time I issue an upgrade
and overwrite the existing. But it would be nice just to be able to add one.

Hi John,

Do you mean in SB or in Windows? In Windows you can right click on
the menu and select "Sort by name" Shortcuts etc. are just files so
they obey the same sorting stuff like regular files/folders.

If you mean in SB then it always seems to be sorted alphabetically...

Yes Arnor - in SB

I was surprised as a new install I agree always puts them into alpha order.
But try adding one shortcut to an existing list and the menu list is not
sorted now - i.e. the new shortuct is appended to the end of the list.

I'm not seening that. When I add a shortcut in 6.6 (build 2000) it
shows up in the shortcut list in alphabetical order. If I change the
name, it is immediately resorted in alphabetical order...

John,

Windows does not allow to programmatically sort Shortcuts.
