Yesterday, I had a client with a major showstopping bug. It was an easy
fix for me, just delete a space character. Plus a couple of one line
code additions for better error handling.

Compiled and tested the fix, verified it worked.

Launch SB8 and compile the web update and deployed it. Told the client
to check for an update, which was there, downloaded and applied it,
restarted and he verified the fix.

All on one phone call!

Its one thing to make fixes in code, but does a client no good if you
can't get it to them in a rapid manner, applied easily with a single
button click.

Batman has his bat cave with all sorts of goodies, I have Clarion 8 and
SB8. Batman is jealous! :-)

I do the same thing dozens of times a year... I fix a bug or add a feature
or report, click IQ-Sync or run IQ-Sync from Build Automator... it copies
the files.... then runs setupbuilder which manifests and signs everything..
uploads.. and I'm done...

When people see the update button, click on it and it updates... and their
fix or report is automagically there... they are impressed, and realize we
are a professional company.... and when our software installs on any windows
version, that is also impressive.

Cool stuff Ray!

If you really want to be a hero, do this while you are sitting next to
them. I did this once and he was REALLY impressed I could do that
without touching his computer.

I just told him how much people pay to see similar magic in Las Vegas <vbg>
