View Full Version : SetupBuilder on machine with no Internet connection?

Hello,

We want to buy a SetupBuilder license. Two questions:

1. Does your license support 'offline' activation? Our development machine does not have access to the Net (for security reasons) and we would like to activate SetupBuilder 'offline'.

2. When SetupBuilder updates are available, how can we update to the newest version without a Net connection?

Thank you in advance.

Victor,

Thank you for your interest in SetupBuilder.

1. Yes, you can install SetupBuilder on a machine without an active Internet connection. Absolutely no problem. The provided subscription key supports "offline" activation.

2. We make updates available in form of Web Updates ("Live Update") and single-file stand-alone updates. You can download the single-file update from a machine with Internet connection and then copy it to your development machine (e.g. LAN, USB, etc.) to bring your SetupBuilder environment to the latest release.

By the way, I would suggest to disable Web Update checking on this "internet-less" machine (Tools | Options... | Web Update tab -> set "Check for software updates" to "Never").

If you need further assistance, please let me know.
