I'm sure that you have heard that support for Windows XP is ending on April
8, 2014. But did you know that nearly all of the automated teller machines
(ATMs), a.k.a. automated banking machine (ABM), cash machine, cashpoint,
cashline or "hole in the wall" are still running Windows XP Professional or
Windows XP Embedded? An estimated 3 million ATMs worldwide, more than
400,000 ATMs in the U.S. And did you know that quite a few customers from
the banking sector are using our Lindersoft SetupBuilder product line to
power their ATMs? At the moment, about 5% of the ATMs are on Windows 7, with
a rising tendency. An estimated 15 percent of US ATMs will be running
Windows 7 by April 2014.

So next time you use an ATM, just remember that this ATM might be a
"SetupBuilder Inside" machine.

Yes, that's correct. Very very very few ATMs are using XP Embedded. Most
have XP Pro installed (including Solitaire <g>).

How cool is that. Next time I am at an ATM machine anywhere in the world I
will think - Friedrich, are you in there somewhere? :-)

If Friedrich is in the ATM perhaps he can add Clarion developer detection
and spit out a few extra hundred (from somebody else's account of course -
VB developer?).
