Hi all,

Has anyone created an ODBC datasource in SB 5? There is an option to
"Config ODBC Data Source..." but without any help or docs on this, it
is impossible for me to have a clue what to put in the "Data Source
Attributes"

Best regards,

I have figured out how to do this directly via the registry so I think
I'll just stick with that and see what happens.

Hi Arnór,

The Config ODBC Data Source script action configures an ODBC data source for
use with an existing ODBC driver.

Enter the "Data Source Name", the "Driver Name" and your "Data Source
Attributes".

Source Name. Enter the name of the ODBC data source. This name is
displayed in the ODBC data sources list on the destination computer.

Driver Name. Enter the name of the ODBC driver used by this data source.
The driver, along with its support files, must already have been installed.

Data Source Attributes. Enter the data source attributes here.

Display Configuration Dialogs. If this checkbox is marked, the
installation displays configuration dialogs that let the user configure the
source for use on their computer system. Otherwise, the data source is
installed silently, without user intervention, using default settings.

System DSN. Mark this checkbox to make the data source available to all
user accounts on the destination computer.

Does this help?

Thanks,
Friedrich
