All,

I followed the Windows launch event live, and nearly fell from the chair. I
have to admit, it surprised me, and came completely unexpected: Windows 10.

This was a short night and I already changed most SetupBuilder internals
from Windows 9 to Windows 10. Of course, what you see in the screenshots is
only the tip of the iceberg. The most important changes are under the hood,
at compiler and linker level.

We hope to get our hands on Windows 10 Technical Preview later today, then
start testing immediately.

I'll keep you posted.

Friedrich

Time to make a variable/definition containing the name, because hey, it's
coming 2015, maybe they change it again, when they realize, that there was
a Windows 10 already: The X with the P ;-)

It's "thinner" than 8 - the window borders anyway.

There's this really subtle muddy drop shadow behind windows.

Oh, and a start menu with those panel thingies!<g>

Hi Friedrich!

Just noticed that the Windows Version ID on the second image is "65536"
which overflows a WORD.. Just saying.

SetupBuilder can handle this <g>

Windows 8.1 = 0x4000
Server 2012 R2 = 0x8000
Windows 10 = 0x10000 (65536)
Windows 10 Server = 0x20000

Hi Friedrich!

I figured you'd have to be using a LONG for that.

I sure like seeing the power button in a non passive-aggressive
