Ok. I'm tired and now I've gotten frustrated since I cannot get this
simple script (attached) to delete either of the indicated keys.

What am I overlooking?!

If you're wondering I'm writing this for my Sister and a couple of
other, not so computer savvy<g>, folks who would like to remove the
two indicated icons from their desktops.

WAG...

Your installer is 32-bit and their machines are 64-bit. You're deleting
from the Wow6432Node instead of the "real" registry node you want.

Don't know if it will help, but maybe check out the help for "Set x64

Jane and Jeff,

After you both jarred my head out of its complacency<g> I went the
hybrid install route which has now been tested on both 32 and 64 bit
OS's with great success.

THANK YOU BOTH!!!!
