View Full Version : Anti-virus vendors - what a waste of MY resources... PART III

Okay, we are again "false-positive" free now.

It all started with a bug in the Kaspersky virus definition. Once it was
there, it developed a life of its own. I had to invest time and resources
to find a way out of this nightmare. Most anti-virus protection provider
expressed regret and - a few - apologized for causing a technical support
nightmare and for any inconveniences caused to the SetupBuilder community.

Of course, the leading Chinese anti-virus developer Jiangmin is still the
worst protection vendor to deal with.

The following press release is not worth the "paper" it's written on:

"...the leading Chinese anti-virus product developers jiangmin announced
formally passed the ICSA anti-virus product certification testing... By ICSA
tests, take the test product must be on the desktop-side and server-side to
detect, identify, and prevent the spread of malicious software, as well as
the absence of any false positives..."

Who paid "ICSA testing labs" and how much to let jiangmin pass that
certification test? I don't know.

I am sorry to say that we really have to give up here. We sent countless
emails to Jiangmin, but they simply do not care.

Hi Friedrich
Maybe you should offer them free use of Setupbuilder!
Your issues would then be their problems ...
cheers!
