View Full Version : SetupBuilder Trademark (10th Year Trademark Renewal)

Time really flies. Our "SETUPBUILDER" trademark registered with the United
States Patent and Trademark Office in May 2005, application filing date was
March 2004. We filed the 5th year renewal in May 2010. Yesterday, we filed
our "Combined Declaration of Use and Renewal of Registration of a Mark under
Section 8 & 9 Form". God willing, I have to contact our trademark attorney
again in ten (10) years to file our next 10th year renewal <g>.

"Downloadable computer software, namely, software downloadable from the
Internet for use by application developers to create installation program
software and applications capable of automatically locating, downloading and
installing newer software versions; Computer software, namely, software for
use by application developers to create installation program software and
applications capable of automatically locating, downloading and installing
newer software versions."

Is there nothing any of us can do to get SetupBuilder onto Wiki?

"They" remove it as soon as SetupBuilder is mentioned. Other installation
systems are allowed (InstallShield, Wise, etc.), but not SetupBuilder :-(
In the past, "FisherQueen" ("The Editor"; I bet an unemployed teacher) even
put a lock onto the SetupBuilder page.

We have ways and means :-) Will do some digging. There is no reason
why SetupBuilder is not up there. If they keep you off the rest should
be bumped.

Well done Friedrich,

You have a winning and superior product and you will have to renew for years
to come.

SetupBuilder rocks and can never be replaced by something else.

NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE UNDER SECTION 8 from the United States Patent and
Trademark Office (USPTO).

The declaration of use filed for the SETUPBUILDER registration meets the
requirements of Section 8 of the Trademark Act, 15 U.S.C. §1058. The
Section 8 declaration is accepted.

In other words, the SETUPBUILDER trademark renewal was accepted and
approved. Yeah! We are good until May 2025 <g>.

Maybe by then Microsoft will see the error of their ways and buy you out
